Influencer Marketing Strategist

About Us

Bree is a consumer finance platform that brings better, faster, and cheaper financial services to over half the Canadian population who live paycheck to paycheck.

We were part of Y Combinator in 2021 and raised a $2M seed round shortly after. We are growing at a double-digit monthly rate and are profitable.

Our culture is defined by high ownership, a bias for action, tenacious problem-solving, and striving to be 1% better every day.

Role Overview

We're looking for a high-impact Influencer Marketing Strategist to serve as the core architect of our performance engine. We are at a stage of explosive growth, and we need someone to bridge the gap between high-level creative vision and rigorous data analysis.

You aren’t just drafting briefs; you are building the systems, managing the workflow, and directing the strategy that drives our 8-figure revenue.

You will oversee a talented team of three Creative Strategists, a Video Editor, a Graphic Designer, and a Creator Partnerships Manager. This is a high-impact role for someone who is equal parts data-obsessed analyst, social media visionary, and master project manager.

What You’ll Do

  • Team & Pipeline Management: Manage the weekly production pipeline and deliverables across the creative team. Provide consistent feedback to ensure the team’s output evolves alongside platform trends while remaining brand-aligned and relevant to our target customer.

  • Performance Partnership: Collaborate with our Media Buyer to align creative output with account performance. Use data to investigate creative fatigue and platform-specific trends.

  • Creator & Influencer Strategy: Lead the overarching strategy for our creator and influencer program. Build systems to streamline and scale creator selection, concept development, and invoice management.

  • System Architecture: Build and maintain the infrastructure of the creative department—from naming conventions and performance trackers to streamlined communication systems between strategy and production.

  • Creative Strategy & Oversight: Provide final approval on all UGC and static briefs. Apply your expert eye to hooks, headlines, and flow to ensure every piece of content is primed for performance before it hits production.

Who You Are

  • Data-Obsessed: You can look at a Meta dashboard or Motion report and immediately know why a hook failed, why a format is winning, and how it changes your creative strategy moving forward.

  • Project Management Chops: Experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams (editors, designers, strategists) and keeping a high-volume production engine running on time.

  • Paid Social Fluency: Ahead of the curve on Paid Meta trends, emerging TikTok formats, and nuances of what makes a "scroll-stopper."

  • Operational Agility: Extreme ownership mindset, willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done—whether it’s editing in CapCut, recording a voiceover, or filming content yourself.

  • Proven Experience: At least 2+ years in Creative Strategy or Performance Marketing, specifically on paid social campaigns that drive measurable ROI. Strong preference for B2C fintech experience.

Compensation & Career Path

We are looking for a long-term partner and are flexible with how we start. This role is currently open on a part-time contract basis with the potential to scale into a core full-time member of the Bree team.

Initial Contract Terms

  • Rate: $50–$70 per hour (commensurate with experience)

  • Commitment: 10–20 hours per week to start
