Social Media Coordinator- Simple Nursing

Position Overview:

Nursing school is difficult, stressful, and expensive. It's a very emotional & competitive environment  where the stakes are high. Unfortunately, more than 30% of students fail out of their program within  the first year. Our business, SimpleNursing.com, is an e-learning video streaming platform that provides test prep materials to help make complex medical concepts easy to  understand for nursing students, so they succeed in nursing school

The Social Media Coordinator, a pivotal role within our Marketing team, is dedicated to supporting our Social  Media Manager and our SimpleNursing social media accounts across all platforms/apps. With a focus on leveraging our brand experience and expertise, this person will help coordinate organic content development, post scheduling, collaborating with influencers, assisting in video editing, and performance reporting (using data analysis). The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our social media marketing operations, contributing to the ongoing success and growth of our brand.

What You'll Do

• Assist Social Media Manager with a variety of daily tasks

• Organize & develop social posts calendar.

• Scheduling posts via Hootsuite

• Writing copy for social posts

• Basic video editing

• Manage comments on TikTok, Instagram & YouTube

• Influencer research and initial outreach

• Pull weekly/monthly analytic numbers to help us make educated decisions.

• Must have experience using Canva Pro

• Some copywriting and graphic design experience will set you apart from the rest.

• Must be witty and up to date on current social trends (videos and sounds)

• Must research and understand our target demographic (interests, sense of humor, lingo)

• Help nurture the community we have built amongst our followers. Nursing students have a lot in common. It’s our job to make them feel connected and heard under the umbrella of our brand.

• Moderating comments will be a daily task.

• Dedicate yourself to turning our fans into customers, and our customers into advocates.

• Bring innovative ideas to the table. Proactivity will go a long way in this role.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 1-2 years experience in social media coordinating for a business 

• Demonstrated ability to think on your feet and present proactive solutions, consistently bringing more solutions than problems to the table.

• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring posts and video edits are meticulously crafted and free of errors.

• Adaptability and Open-Mindedness:

• Eagerness to learn and embrace new concepts, displaying an open mind to mentorship, feedback, and continuous growth within your role.

• Proficient in utilizing technology for effective job performance, including expertise in KPI tracking and data analysis.

• Proven ability to adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of social media platforms, showcasing flexibility in pivoting strategies when necessary.

• Self-driven and capable of working autonomously, exhibiting a strong work ethic to accomplish tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.

• Possessing a sense of humor to infuse creativity into content creation, contributing to an engaging and relatable online presence.

• Customer service experience; Ability to know when to turn on your customer service voice

• Background in nursing/healthcare industry a plus
