Investigative Journalist/Content Manager (Flexible Hours, Long-Term)

At eBizFacts.com we research and review tools, platforms, and resources for earning a living online. Our goal is to help our readers make smarter choices about how to spend their time and money while building an online business.

Our big focus is investigating popular "make money online" courses and publishing insightful written reviews about them. Example of such a review: https://ebizfacts.com/passive-income-pathways-review/

Ultimately I'd like you to manage the entire editorial review process with minimal feedback/input from me. I'm looking for someone with good judgment who I can trust to produce high-quality reviews from start to finish. I don't expect that to happen right out of the gate, but that's what we're aiming for within a few months.

You’ll know you’re the right person for this role if you have

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a working journalist

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • An ability to quickly understand and summarize different business models

  • An obsession with getting the details right

  • A well-honed bullshit detector (some courses we review are quite shady)

  • A willingness to ask questions and incorporate feedback

  • A bias for being proactive and keeping things moving

  • An ability to operate independently and reliably accomplish tasks

  • Reliable internet, reliable laptop/desktop computer

  • Experience and comfort with video calls

  • A desire to manage people (eventually you may oversee other writers/researchers)

  • Bonus: Experience with Google Docs, ClickUp, Airtable

You’ll be doing

  • Contacting course creators requesting access to their course(s).

  • Researching each course according to our detailed process.

  • Calculating an "Editorial Rating" for each course.

  • Writing up your findings for each course clearly and concisely.

  • Sending each published review to the course creator and incorporating their feedback if necessary.

  • Reporting to me.

Technology Used

  • Google Docs

  • ClickUp

  • Airtable

  • Zoom (for training and meetings)

What’s in it for you?

  • Pay negotiable, depending on skills/experience *

  • Up to 40 work hours per week (though more like 10 hours per week starting off)

  • Flexible hours

  • Paid training

  • Get paid on time, every time

* Please note that this is a gross salary and that you are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. We kindly ask you to apply only if you are happy to work remotely as an independent contractor.

How to apply?
