Content and SEO Specialist

At Eppo, we are building the future of experimentation, so that every company can have an entrepreneurial, customer oriented culture. We believe that AB experiments uniquely put customers at the center of product decisions instead of political processes.

Our next-gen platform allows companies to 10x their volume of AB experiments by embracing the full technical rigor of engineering and statistics while focusing intensely on the evangelism of results and accessibility to business users. We are built for the modern cloud infrastructure, with easy integrations and an emphasis on privacy and security.

Our team is made up of veteran product builders from Airbnb, Slack, and Snowflake, and our product is powering experimentation at some of top companies around the world. We’ve raised over $47M funding backed by top-tier venture firms like Innovation Endeavors, Icon Ventures, Menlo VC, and Amplify Partners. See our Series B announcement here.

At Eppo, content is a major part of our success. Across our statisticians, engineers, product managers, and go-to-market team, we have more collective Experimentation experience and expertise than any other company, and we're looking for a Content Specialist to help us craft, package, and distribute thought leadership that elevates the Eppo brand. You'll oversee and produce a mix of engaging written and video content across channels like SEO and social for Eppo's widely-read media brand Outperform, working with a team of subject matter experts, copyeditors, designers, and other resources.

This role is perfect for someone who understands the fine balance between crafting exceptional content and marketing skillsets like search engine optimization. We like to keep things bold—whether it’s controversial blog posts, insanely helpful technical documentation, or binge-worthy video content, your work will have a business impact across multiple areas. If you’re organized, creative, and love establishing a content vision, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content strategy & creation: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that goes beyond SEO. You’ll create diverse content types (blogs, videos, whitepapers) that align with business objectives, educate our audience, and drive engagement.

  • Run a journalistic “newsroom”: Uncover trending conversations, engaging stories, and editorial hot takes from the Eppo team and community and shepherd them from idea to published content like a newspaper editor.

  • Rockstar project and stakeholder management: Partner closely with authors and stakeholders across product, marketing, and growth teams to manage content in progress and ensure alignment with our brand and product vision. Manage vendors including professional copyeditors, designers, and video editors to scale Eppo’s content production and velocity.

  • Diverse content formats: Think beyond blogs—manage the creation of website content, empower technical documentation teams, and collaborate on video content to diversify our approach. You'll help ensure that Eppo’s expertise shines across all content mediums.

  • SEO & emerging trends: Take the lead on SEO, from keyword research to on-page optimization, but always with an eye on quality. You’ll track performance and identify emerging keywords and trends that can keep us ahead of the curve.

  • Data-driven insight: Use SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics) to continuously improve our content performance. You’ll report on traffic, rankings, and how your content is driving pipeline growth, constantly refining based on data.

  • Content optimization: Regularly audit and refresh existing content to maintain relevance and alignment with the latest product updates, SEO trends, and user needs.

  • Future-focused: Stay on top of the latest SEO trends and content marketing innovations. You'll not only execute on current SEO best practices but also anticipate shifts in keyword relevance and content formats that could give us a competitive edge.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of content creation experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS or technical environment. You have a knack for identifying, editing, and even writing content that strikes a balance between technical depth and accessibility.

  • SEO & content: In-depth understanding of SEO, keyword research, and content optimization. You know how to blend SEO best practices with creating content that’s genuinely valuable and engaging. (We are still writing for humans, not Google.)

  • Strong writing and editing skills: You don’t need to be a PhD statistician, but you may need to edit their writing — a strong grasp of the English language and comfort working with college-level vocabulary and nuance is a must.

  • Video & multimedia: Experience or interest in overseeing video content creation and exploring new content formats. You understand that video, in particular, is becoming essential for engaging users.

  • Analytical & creative: You bring both creativity and data-driven thinking to the table. You enjoy experimenting with new ideas but always measure the results to optimize for business impact.

  • Project management: You’re able to juggle multiple content projects at once, while maintaining high standards for quality and deadlines. Experience managing a content roadmap and editorial calendar.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a SaaS company or with technical products related to experimentation, data, or product analytics.
