Business Development Manager

General Assembly is seeking a talented BDR Manager to lead a talented team of sales individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills to help build a world-class business development team.

What You'll Do:

  • Hire, coach and manage a team of Sales Development Reps (Inbound & Outbound)

  • Develop the sales, product and industry skills of each team member

  • Execute on your team's plan to meet or exceed lead qualification quota

  • Develop and maintain a set of metrics to track progress and success of the team

  • Regularly report on Team/Individual Results - Lead Quantity, Quality and Revenue.

  • Work closely with Marketing on defining/providing feedback Campaign effectiveness, follow-up and reporting.

  • Work closely with Product Marketing to create outreach content for outbound campaigns

  • Create sequences for team messaging to inbound and outbound leads

  • Work closely with management and Reps to ensure Lead Quality/Quantity

  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of Process, Efficiency and Productivity.

What You Need:

  • 2-3 years experience in Sales Development and Enablement with experience directly managing a team of SDR/BDRs, bonus if you have experience building a BDR team from the ground-up.

  • Experience in formulating and implementing an inbound/outbound communications strategy including: call scripts; email content; messaging cadence and other communication strategies

  • Ability to create a repeatable Sales Development methodology resulting in increased lead velocity; lead-demo conversions; qualification parameters and overall productivity of the SDR/BDR team

  • Commanding executive presence in front of a room and over web conference; credible in front of SDR/BDR Team, Account Executives, Field Sales teams, executive audiences and prospects

  • Experience managing all CRM tools including Salesforce

  • Team attitude.

The anticipated annualized salary range for this position in the US market is $61,000 and $80,000. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.  If hired as a regular full-time employee, this position will include a variable compensation plan which could be a bonus or a commission.

Available paid leave may include paid time off, parental leave and holiday pay.
