About The Role

The Brands Account Manager at GiddyUp plays a crucial role in driving success through collaboration with our internal team and our brand partners. This position demands strong relational skills to develop trust-based partnerships with brands while leveraging the internal team to create growth opportunities. As an experienced account manager and proficient communicator, you will be dedicated to achieving exceptional results for our company and partners.

What You'll Do:

  • Discover and qualify leads, transforming them into partnerships.

  • Nurture revenue growth throughout the brand lifecycle.

  • Optimize account growth and longevity, ensuring high performance and profitability for both GiddyUp and managed brands.

  • Act as a high-level liaison between GiddyUp and brand partners, advocating for win-win outcomes.

  • Manage a dynamic sales pipeline of prospective brands by reviewing leads as they come in and pursuing opportunities based on book of business and company goals.

  • Conduct thorough research on prospective brands, including their industry landscape, market positioning, and competitive landscape.

  • Engage with prospective brands to understand their needs and assess their compatibility with the GiddyUp Network.

  • Determine the brand's level of interest, decision-making process, and decision timeline.

  • Pitch new brand opportunities to internal teams to gauge interest.

  • Present compelling pricing strategies to brand prospects, aligning GiddyUp’s offerings with their specific needs and pain points.

  • Negotiate contracts with brands efficiently.

  • Act as the primary contact and account manager for brands throughout the brand lifecycle; effectively prioritize brands by their level of scale and strive for same day responses to brand inquiries.

  • Build strong relationships with brands to ensure optimal alignment and long-term success.

  • Educate brand partners on running effective performance campaigns for maximum scale, profitability, and longevity.

  • Negotiate commissions, sales caps, creative budgets, and accelerator pools required by GiddyUp internal teams for ongoing campaign success.

  • Handle objections and concerns raised by brands throughout the brand lifecycle.

  • Address campaign challenges (inventory, channels, CPA, customer support, etc.) with the GiddyUp team and communicate solutions to brand partners.

  • Collaborate with the Performance Marketing Manager to monitor and drive campaign performance and growth.

  • Communicate brand partner concerns and challenges to the GiddyUp Network team.

  • Master key functions of the GiddyUp Platform to effectively manage brand operations, offers, and growth strategies.

  • Analyze campaign data and performance on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to identify risks, opportunities, and trends.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Traffic, and Creative teams to catalyze opportunities and to mitigate potential risks.

  • Lead Qualification and Product & Market Research: Has the ability to validate a product idea and assess its success and viability, as well as identify customer needs and potential market demand.

  • Client Focus: Has a customer centric focus, increases customer retention through effective relationship management, and does whatever it takes to make sure the customers' needs are fully met.

  • Account Development: Develops accounts and grows revenue by effectively managing brands.

What Success Looks like over the next 12 months:

  • What you will have accomplished 90 days in: 

  • Complete all department specific training materials

  • Complete all cross-department training materials

  • Get to know all team members and how they contribute to our success

  • Become familiar with GU’s previous top performers and ideal offer profile

  • Pitch a minimum of 3 offers to the Network team

  • What you will have accomplished 6 months in: 

  • Pitch 25 offers to the Network Team

  • Onboard 8 new brands

  • Generate a minimum of $25k profit/month on each of your accounts

  • What you will have accomplished 12 months in: 

  • Pitch 50 offers to the Network Team

  • Onboard 16 new brands

  • Generate a minimum of $25k profit/month on each of your accounts

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years account management experience.

  • 3+ years client negotiation and sales experience.

  • Strong marketing, sales, and analytical skills.

  • Exceptional relational skills.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Experience working in a startup environment.

  • Experience working in the affiliate marketing industry.

  • Proven success growing brand accounts.

  • Exceptional soft skills.

  • Excellent sales skills, overcoming objections, persuasion, and contract negotiation.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
