Overview:
Join our client as a Business Development Manager to drive growth for a unique email solution designed specifically for universities.
This position is 95% Business Development.
You need to be comfortable with outreaching to decision makers, getting rejections, and love the wins!
About Our Client:
Our client offers an out-of-the-box email forwarding solution for universities, providing alumni with lifelong email addresses.
With prestigious clients like Harvard University and a strong presence in the US, UK and Australia, they are looking for a strong Business Developer to continue to expand.
What you will do:
Develop and manage relationships with university stakeholders, focusing on alumni services and IT departments.
Conduct discovery calls using SPIN methodology to identify needs and present solutions.
Coordinate & lead solution architect calls alongside internal technical experts.
Drive sales with a goal of closing approximately one deal per week.
Engage in online presentations and effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
To be good at this job you need to have:
Proven results in Business Development: you understand it takes time, persistance, follow-up, and preparation to close deals and you can prove this with past results.
Proven experience in SaaS or related technical domain: you have sold technical products, you are good at it and you can prove it with past results.
You have also worked with Universities: you understand how they work, how to approach them and how to pitch them.
Ideally you even have current contacts with IT and/or Alumni services.
You are well educated, well cultured, and therefore you can create rapport with people who work the University world.
You understand computer softwares and stuff like servers, anti-spamming technologies and how they work, phishing...
You like to work with visual schema, you believe they are an easy, simple and efficient way to convey information about technical solutions.
You have some understanding of vendor onboarding, and compliance standards such as SOC2, Type2, GDPR.
