Director of Product Marketing

We are seeking a Director, Product Marketing to lead our customer-centric marketing efforts, lead our category creation and spearhead our GTM efforts with sales and product leadership. Reporting to our CMO, as our product positioning and GTM strategy expert, you’ll be responsible for developing and scaling our product marketing discipline.

 

In this role, you will synthesize customer insights, product strategy, roadmap, and competitive market data/market dynamics to prioritize efforts around focused horizontal and/or vertical use cases. You and your team’s activities will include platform/product positioning, product strategy, use case-specific content and sales playbooks, competitive analysis, and technical “dev rel” content in various media forms. This highly collaborative role involves working cooperatively with sales, product management, and engineering to contribute to winning product strategy and GTM execution.

 

You have extensive product marketing experience with a track record in category creation, driving the education and awareness around transformational technologies, and you are an excellent written and spoken communicator. Additionally, you must be a proven leader who prides themselves on formulating a vision for your team, leading by example; yet you can scale your team by providing the right guidance and letting them create in their jobs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Building and scaling a team responsible for positioning a category-creating product in the MLOps/ML Deployment lifecycle.

  • Collaborating closely with product management and engineering to define product strategy that creates the user adoption flywheel of the company.

  • Working in lock-step with sales, product management, and the growth (marketing) team to build out the GTM foundations for a scalable sales and partner motion.

  • Establish an organization that lives and breathes the need to articulate “the why” of our products in addressing the needs of our customers.

  • Drive product initiatives using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers.

  • Produce content tied to winning sales playbooks and the content that assists the sales team in all phases of the sales cycle.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to compose white papers, eBooks, and other product/technical content used in the marketing funnel. 

Your qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience.

  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Director, Head of Product Marketing, or similar role and have hired and built a high-performing team.

  • Track record in positioning a category-creating product that resulted in market share leadership.

  • Experience creating and executing highly detailed go-to-market plans in collaboration with sales and product management.

  • Defining and creating all the content to support targeted customer use cases that create scalable GTM execution.

  • Collaboration with the field to create and optimize sales playbooks that drive customer acquisition and accelerate time to land and expand. 

  • Worked successfully in a data-driven organization where impact is measured regarding customer acquisition and speeding up time to revenue.

The base salary range for this role's listed level is currently $166,000 - $240,000. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
