Social Media Manager
Why Offsite?
While remote work has unlocked flexibility and freedom for teams, itâs also made connection harder. Thatâs where we come in.
Offsite is building more connected, engaged, and aligned teams by making it easier for People Leaders at high-growth tech companies to plan unforgettable retreats and offsites.
We offer both a fully-managed planning service and a self-serve marketplace with vetted venues and vendorsâall in one place.
Weâre a lean, creative, and fast-paced team that loves to move quickly and stay scrappy. Weâre looking for a Social Media Media to help amplify our story and support our brand voice across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms.
Offsite is looking for an Social Media Manager who will:
bring strategic concepts to the table (ie what should our social media strategy be on LinkedIn, on TikTok, on YouTube, and so forth given our ideal customer profile, our limited budget and team, and the brand we want to build?)
out-hustle anyone to turn this part-time or freelance opportunity into a full-time role, and then into a multi-person team, eventually building a scalable marketing channel for Offsite
show undeniable proof of their abilities (ie show us thumb-stopping content youâve created for your own personal accounts and/or other brands youâve worked with)
take extreme ownership in executing a social media marketing plan that drives revenue
shoot content, edit, post, and grow channels
be on camera themselves and become one of the faces of the brand
become (or already is!) obsessed with getting better at your craft, including studying social media trends, other brands whoâve built defensible marketing channels on social, as well as skills like copywriting, persuasion, marketing, and human psychology
be detail oriented and meticulous in their work (to show us that you have this ability, send us your favorite GIF when you apply for the role)
Weâve planned hundreds of offsites for companies around the world for companies like Perplexity, HubSpot, Remote, Guild Education, 15Five, HiBob, ElevenLabs, and others, saving them millions of dollars on their team retreats as well as thousands of planning hours, while sending them to partner properties for higher ROI, more intentional team retreats.
And we want you to help us build a category-defining, some might sayâŚiconic, brand online.
This is a unique opportunity to:
đ join a profitable, VC-backed startup as an early employee before our Series A...
đ work wherever you want, however you want (so long as you have exceptional WiFi connection), with invitation to 2x/year All-Hands offsites and offers to travel on the companyâs dime every month or two :)
đ have day-to-day impact on the direction of our company through helping us hit aggressive growth goals that will boost our ability to raise future rounds of funding...
đ collaborate directly with the founder/CEO as well as our Senior Digital Marketing Manager
đ build and grow a portfolio of social content for a fast-growing B2B brand
đ and so much more!
About The Role
This is a rare opportunity to make an impact on Day 1, and chart your own path over time in a high-growth, VC-backed startup that is defining an industry.
Although we expect this role to begin part-time/freelancer/fractional (ie hourly), youâll be an important member of the Offsite team.
If we see clear ROI on our social media marketing efforts within the first 3-6 months of your time in the role, we will most certainly want to ramp up your hours and/or comp and/or bring you in full-time (with salary, equity, and benefits), and possibly build a team with/around you over the next 1-2 years.
Re: comp, we have budgeted for $25-$50 hr depending on experience and 10-25 hours per week depending on hourly rates, your capacity to work on Offsite related work, etc.
Weâre looking to bet on someone who has huge upside potential. If youâre more seasoned in your career, apply anyways and we can potentially up the hours and/or consider a full-time role sooner than later.
You might be a good fit if youâre someone who:
Has 2+ years of social media management experience (ideally B2B or startup experience, both in terms of companies youâve worked at and helped to market on social media)
Understands how to tell a story and create thumb-stopping content
Can write short, clear, and engaging copy for LinkedIn, Instagram, and X
Is detail-oriented, organized, and can take direction and run with it
Has experience with Canva, Figma, or other design tools
Is familiar with scheduling tools like ContentStudio, Loomly, etc.
Is comfortable using Notion and Google Drive to collaborate
Can edit short-form video or create simple Reels/TikToks
Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept ItâŚ
We're not just looking for someone to schedule postsâweâre looking for a creative partner who gets what it takes to build a modern B2B brand that people actually want to follow.
We're inspired by social media marketers and brands who punch above their weight and build true brand moats with bold, consistent, scroll-stopping content. Think:
ClickUp â Created a distinct, high-energy voice across LinkedIn, IG, and TikTok that makes B2B fun
Duolingo â Turned their mascot into a meme-generating machine that took over TikTok
Notion â Balanced product education and aesthetic design with lifestyle vibes that resonate deeply with their user base
Morning Brew â Infused personality into every post while maintaining clear business value
Alex and Leili Hormozi, Dan Martell, Gary Vaynerchuck - folks whoâve built powerful âfounder brandsâ that drive hundreds of millions of dollars in enterprise value for their various companies.
And some other crazier examples:
F1 - Leveraged Netflix and documentary-style videos to dramatically increase their fan base and enterprise value.
Red Bull - Created an entire world of user generated content, influencer marketing, and marketing business to ultimately sell energy drinks.
Mr Beast - ânuff said. If we did 1/1000th of what he and his team does on social, at 1/100th of the effectiveness, Offsite would be a billion dollar company.
We want Offsite to have the type of creative, iconic brand that ClickUp, Duolingo, or Morning Brew enjoysâŚ.
Thatâs why this role isnât just executionâitâs creative direction, community building, and brand identity in action.
If youâre looking for the chance to build that from the ground up, brick by brick, then weâd love to hear from you.
To Be Considered for the Role:

A short Loom video introducing yourself and sharing why you're excited about this role
