About The Role
We are looking for a Director of Procurement & Logistics to join our Home Operations team and partner with our Principal Interior Designer on the purchase, delivery, and installation of FF&E for our homes. This person will be the champion of the onboarding process, ensuring everything is ordered, placed, and ready for our owners. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, leaning in to their ability to stay organized and problem solve in any situation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a global Sourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain strategy for high-end residential FF&E, OS&E, and consumables. Vision should encompass day-to-day operations while paving the way for global scale and innovative revenue opportunities.
Manage Procurement processes from A - Z, including vendor qualification, purchase order processing, and reconciliation.
Oversee logistics and onboarding operations across multiple continents, including warehousing, shipping, customs, and installation. Ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of goods and successful onboarding to meet project requirements.
Build vendor and partner strategy that optimizes for brand, owner experience, operational efficiency, and financial impact. Oversee negotiations, contracts, and ongoing relationship management.
Manage Design resources to ensure projects meet goals, budgets, and quality standards. Oversee Design processes, ensure production capacity meets demand, and gather ongoing feedback from customers and partners to improve design and sourcing strategy.
Identify optimal suite of systems and tooling to manage workflows across Design, Procurement, Logistics and Fulfillment, Installation, and Inventory Management. Ensure infrastructure supports scale while addressing day-to-day needs. Lead execution in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations.
Implement software solutions for data tracking, reconciliation, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with financial and operational audits.
Oversee P&L for Operations’ profit center. Collaborate with Finance, Acquisitions, and Operations to establish budgets, drive gross profit, and manage inventory effectively.
Develop and manage KPIs and SLAs to track performance and drive continuous improvement. Prepare monthly reports on performance and strategic initiatives for executive team.
Work closely with Finance and Operations to identify cost-saving initiatives and strategies that enhance revenue. Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations to senior leadership.
Build detailed SOPs and manage end-to-end processes from Design through Installation. Partner closely with cross-functional leaders and conduct necessary change management to ensure rigorous adherence.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, and/or Logistics, including leadership role in fast growing startup.
B.S. / B.A. degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or other related degree programs. MBA preferred.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional, global teams with minimal supervision. Transformation experience a plus.
Exceptional data and analytical skills. Experience building data-driven organizations, analyzing spend, and identifying cost saving opportunities. Advanced Excel and data modeling skills required; SQL knowledge a plus.
Highly skilled in process development, with a strong systems mindset. Six sigma, lean, JIT, agile experience a plus.
Ability to understand, organize, communicate and present complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build strategy and vision to support scale, while also getting in the weeds to manage execution. Experience working closely with senior leadership required.
Experience implementing new technologies / systems to manage Supply Chain processes, including Procurement, Fulfillment, and Inventory Management, in partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
Collaborative mindset and ability to quickly develop strong, productive relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Phenomenal project manager with exceptional organizational skills. Detail-oriented with proven track record of building and prioritizing roadmaps.
Flexible and able to thrive in environments with high levels of ambiguity and shifting priorities.
