Junior Business Analyst [IT]
The company
Rarely Decaf is a strategic technology partner that helps businesses craft purpose-built software without the time, cost, and headaches of traditional software implementations.
We’re not a software implementation agency that builds on rigid, outdated systems that require multi-year contracts, nor are we a traditional dev shop where custom software projects start with a six-figure price tag.
Instead, leveraging our experiences as business operators and our passion for modern development frameworks, we design, build, and iterate bespoke enterprise applications on timelines measured in weeks, not months—empowering our partners to drive their next chapter of growth.
You can read a case study of our work here.
Our small, yet ambitious global team is remote-first, asynchronous by default, and firmly believes in the power of great communication.
The role
As our project demands continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to join our team to facilitate efficient operations and drive business growth.

Your key responsibilities include:

Draft agendas for client calls and internal discussions, and use AI tools to record, summarize, and take notes. Tag the Project Lead for necessary actions and facilitate task delegation. Collaborate with stakeholders to map out business processes, data flows, and user flows, annotating these maps with problems, pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure all information is accurately captured and integrated into relevant tickets, diagrams, and workflows. Maintain meticulous records and tweak AI tools for efficiency.
Draft and organize client updates: Help draft and organize regular updates for clients. Summarize recent activities, outline plans for upcoming cycles, and highlight discussion points. Ensure updates are clear, concise, and valuable to the client.
Utilize visual and proactive communication: Use digital whiteboarding tools and other visual methods to convey complex ideas clearly. Proactively communicate with clients and team members to ensure alignment and understanding.
Identify opportunities for improvement: Analyze client processes to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement. Provide insights and suggestions to improve operations and drive business growth.
