Position Overview
Receptive is seeking a Senior SEO & Content Lead to oversee organic growth across our portfolio of brands. This role reports directly to the VP of Growth and will lead all aspects of SEO strategy, execution, and reporting as the head of the SEO team. You’ll own the roadmap and execution for on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, with a particular focus on content velocity, link acquisition, and AI visibility and recommendations.
This is a senior role for an experienced, analytical, and creative SEO leader who thrives in fast-moving environments. You’ll build scalable systems for content production and link building, lead audits and experiments, and continuously evolve our search strategy in response to changing algorithms and AI search surfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Own SEO strategy, operations, and reporting across all Receptive brands (Pettable, ADHD Advisor, Top Nutrition Coaching).
Lead a small SEO team and manage external content writers, link builders and AI workflows.
Build and scale automated, efficient systems for keyword research, content briefing, publication, and performance tracking.
Oversee link-building initiatives including guest posting, digital PR, and authority-building placements; expand into AI citation and mention strategies for emerging search ecosystems.
Conduct regular technical SEO audits and work with engineering or design partners to resolve issues that impact crawlability, performance, and structured data.
Partner with growth and CRO teams to test and improve SEO-driven conversion rates and page engagement.
Monitor keyword trends, competitive movements, and SERP shifts, developing proactive strategies to capture new opportunities.
Report SEO performance with a clear focus on revenue, not vanity metrics and contribute insights to portfolio-wide growth discussions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
4+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 2 years leading or managing others.
Proven track record of driving measurable organic revenue growth and in a fast-scaling environment.
Strong technical foundation: ability to conduct audits and guide implementation across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and structured data.
Experience building and managing in-house link acquisition programs at scale.
Familiarity with A/B testing tools and methodologies.
Strong communication skills—you can simplify complex insights and influence cross-functional teams.
A data-driven operator who thrives in a startup environment, solving complex problems and building scalable systems.
You’re hands-on with SEO tools like GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and SimilarWeb.
You’ve run SEO programs end-to-end, from technical audits to link-building campaigns to content strategy.
You can write or edit an SEO brief that ranks, run a backlink campaign, and analyze its revenue impact.
You’re forward-thinking about how AI will reshape discovery, from AIO to citation-driven ranking.
You’re proactive, resourceful, and fast-moving—comfortable making smart decisions with incomplete data.
You’re transparent, outcome-oriented, and hold yourself accountable to results, not just activity
Bonus: Experience in telehealth and/or insurance-related categories.
Don't wait, tomorrow could be too late.
