Event Manager

About us:

RevenueCat makes building, analyzing, and growing mobile subscriptions easy. We launched as part of Y Combinator's summer 2018 batch and today are handling more than $4B of in-app purchases annually across thousands of apps.

We are a mission driven, remote-first company that is building the standard for mobile subscription infrastructure. Top apps like VSCO, Notion, and ClassDojo count on RevenueCat to power their subscriptions at scale.

Our 80 team members (and growing!) are located all over the world, from San Francisco to Madrid to Taipei. We're a close-knit, product-driven team, and we strive to live our core values: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.

The Role

RevenueCat is a lot of things for a lot of different users: Easy to integrate and maintain subscription infrastructure for engineers, a way to increase conversion and revenue for product teams, a source of invaluable insights for marketers, and the place where you support your paying customers for support teams. We’re also (very) committed to connecting to – and learning from – all these different types of users.

That’s where events come in: Most of us regularly attend, speak at, and manage the booth at events for all kinds of audiences, all around the world. It’s an opportunity to learn from the different types of people that use RevenueCat on a day to day basis, to spend some face-time with our colleagues, and maybe collect a lead or two (thousand) while we’re at it.

We’re looking for a experienced Event Manager to join the team responsible for these in-person events, as well as the virtual events we regularly organise to connect to our audience remotely. Managed by Sabrina, our Events Lead, the team drives our event calendar, tackles logistics, and takes creative charge as we strive to leave a lasting impression.

As our newest Event Manager, you'll need to hit the ground running with event execution from day one. Once you understand our goals and requirements for each event, you'll be expected to drive execution independently. As you grow in the role, you'll take complete ownership of executing key areas of our event strategy.

What you’ll be responsible for

Together with the rest of the team, you’ll take care of event planning, logistics, and on-the-ground execution. You’ll be involved in sponsored conferences, webinars, side-events (dinners, parties, etc), and our RevenueCat App Growth Annual conference.

Within the first month, you’ll:

  • Gain basic understanding of RevenueCat, its customers, and the broader ecosystem in which we operate

  • Meet and form relationships with people across the org, focusing primarily on your main collaborators across Marketing, Sales, and Success

  • Present your “first ship”, a RevenueCat onboarding tradition where you create and share something meaningful with the rest of the team based on your first two weeks in the role. Examples could be:

    • An updated guide for conference attendees to prepare for a trip,

    • Publish a new landing page for a webinar, or

    • Whatever you’re inspired to do

  • Take initiative in supporting ongoing projects while demonstrating ability to manage basic event logistics with minimal oversight

Within the first 3 months, you’ll:

  • Attend your first RevenueCat event, somewhere around the globe (depending on your availability)

  • Assess our current event planning, and identify opportunities for improvement or new initiatives

  • Assist with the logistics for upcoming in-person events (eg, booking sponsorships, coordinating with vendors, briefing RevenueCat attendees)

  • Run your first webinar end-to-end (coordinate with Marketing Operations on technological enablement, work with Product Marketing and/or Content on topics and speakers, etc)

Within the first 6 months, you’ll:

  • Take ownership of specific in-person events

  • Start contributing to event strategy and innovation

  • Find your “inflata-cat” (come up with – and execute – something fun and creative that’ll leave a lasting impression for event attendees)

After 12 months, you’ll have:

  • Become a key partner across the company and proactively find ways events can contribute to our overall company goals

  • Full autonomy over major events and complex projects

What you’ll need to be successful

  • 5+ Years of experience in Event Management in a B2B or B2D (Business to Developer) SaaS environment, planning and executing both in-person and virtual events, including conferences, webinars, and other corporate events

  • Strong independent project manager- demonstrated ability to drive multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously across different time zones without constant oversight

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in event logistics and planning

  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with internal teams, as well as conference organizers, vendors, and other external partners

  • Proven track record of executing event strategies efficiently - able to take direction and run with it independently

  • Resourcefulness and adaptability problem-solver who can quickly troubleshoot issues and manage risks during event planning and execution

  • Experience with turning events into outcomes: Taking care that leads get scanned, Sales connects to the right prospects, and more

  • Ability and willingness to do regular travel

We’re a fully remote team, so you’ll have to be comfortable with an asynchronous environment and using a lot of Notion, Zoom, Slack, and Linear. We actively combat ‘meeting-bloat’ to ensure you have ample time for ‘deep work’, but regularly collaborate in real time around specific projects or efforts.

What we offer:

  • $137,000 USD salary, regardless of your location

  • Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors including Y Combinator

  • 10-year window to exercise vested equity options

  • Fully remote work environment that promotes autonomy and flexibility

  • Suggested 4 to 5 weeks time off to recharge and focus on mental, physical, and emotional health

  • $2,000 USD to build your personal workspace

  • $1,000 USD annual stipend for your continuous learning and growth
