
Deputy Chief of Staff
The role
Steno is growing! We’re looking for a Deputy Chief of Staff to join our team. You’ll be a trusted partner to the Chief of Staff and a direct support to the leadership team, taking on high-leverage work across the company, adapting quickly as priorities shift, and helping leaders stay focused on what matters most.

Responsibilities
Work directly with the Chief of Staff and business leaders to move top priorities forward
Own internal leadership communications, ensuring executives have clear visibility into progress, risks, and decisions
Develop deep fluency in Steno’s strategy, narrative, and metrics
Contribute to time-bound sprints, supporting teams with organizational or strategic needs
Draft and coordinate quarterly investor updates, board decks, and executive materials
Plan and run cross-functional offsites or leadership meetings, from agenda design to execution
Provide operational and administrative support to the executive office, including expense management, all-hands preparation, and evergreen analyses
You’re gonna crush it if you
Have 3–6 years of experience supporting senior leaders in a growth-stage startup or leading high-impact organizational initiatives
Demonstrate experience working with data, financials, equity, and investor-facing materials
Are an exceptional communicator, verbally and in writing
Learn quickly and are driven by curiosity
Have growth-stage startup experience in management, strategy, or operations
Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and produce polished work under scrutiny
Thrive in ambiguity, operate autonomously, and create impact by spotting opportunities and acting on them
Compensation & benefits
Salary: $110,000–$170,000 per year

As Deputy Chief of Staff, you’ll be a true partner, taking on high-leverage work and managing administrative needs while helping leaders stay focused.
