About the Role
Our Client is hiring a Social Media & Content Marketing Manager to help build a personal brand that doesn’t play by the rules—and doesn’t want to. This isn’t about posting pretty carousels. It’s about turning sharp, unfiltered thinking into content that punches above its weight across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
You’ll own the full creative process; from scripting and direction to design and distribution, and you’ll manage every aspect of the social media ecosystem. That means running the content calendar, writing captions and hooks, scheduling and publishing, monitoring performance, and engaging with the audience daily. A vendor will handle video production, but you’ll call the creative shots.
We’ll start with short-form content, but the play gets bigger. You’ll help concept, script, and direct long-form YouTube videos, then cut them down into high-impact assets that scale across platforms.
You’ll move fast with tools like Canva and CapCut—but when it’s time to elevate, you should be comfortable diving into Premiere, Adobe Suite, or Figma to bring a higher level of polish and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy Execution: Activate a channel-specific content plan that grows reach, builds brand authority, and drives leads
Scriptwriting & Creative Direction: Write engaging, story-driven scripts and direct the overall visual, narrative, and tonal arc of each video (short-form and eventually long-form)
Design & Editorial: Build visuals in Canva, with the ability to jump into Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma when needed
Copywriting: Craft punchy hooks, captions, and hashtags that align with the brand voice and audience pain points
Repurposing: Cut long-form content into social-ready clips; turn scripts into LinkedIn posts or IG carousels
Publishing & Platform Management: Manage a cross-platform publishing calendar using tools like Planoly; ensure timely, optimized posts
Performance Optimization: Track key metrics (engagement, shares, traffic) and surface learnings to iterate content strategy
Audience Interaction: Support organic growth through proactive comments, resharing, and light community engagement
Ideal Candidate
3–5 years of experience in social media and/or content marketing.
Strong writer and storyteller, able to craft compelling narratives for both short-form and long-form content
Experienced in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Suite, etc.
Comfortable creative directing video shoots and working with external production vendors
Deep platform fluency: knows what performs on IG Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and how to translate content between them
Organized and proactive with strong attention to detail and an ownership mindset
Bonus: Experience in sales/marketing content, personal brand strategy, or supporting keynote-level founders
