Job position: Marketing Manager (Japan)

dbt Labs is hiring its first marketing representative in Japan. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the marketing funnel performance across the Japan market . This position will be central to our go-to-market strategy in Japan and will be a key player in accelerating the rapidly growing adoption in this market. Working directly with the APJ team, we are looking for an individual who can bring a strategic perspective while also being able to take on the execution role when needed.

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan and budget for the Japanese market, and achieve pipeline growth through multi-channel campaigns, events, and partnerships.

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns specifically for the Japanese market

  • Identify and implement global marketing initiatives that should be localized for Japan

  • We will select local events to sponsor, develop strategies for hosting and co-hosting events, and provide recommendations on content marketing and digital advertising strategies specific to Japan.

  • Collaborate with Japan Sales, Alliances, and Customer Success teams to achieve goals of increasing awareness, generating leads, accelerating sales, and retaining and expanding customers.

  • Understand and analyze performance indicators of the marketing funnel in Japan and promote them responsibly.

Desired profile

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B marketing in Japan (required) , especially in software and SaaS/subscription models preferred

  • Experience in running programs utilizing integrated marketing channels and a track record of adapting global initiatives to local markets

  • Experience in managing pipeline or revenue targets and able to talk about successes and challenges

  • High analytical skills and a data-driven approach, capable of repeatedly launching and improving programs

    • Ability to operate dashboard tools such as Tableau and Salesforce

  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills, able to communicate strategies simply and clearly and build trust within the organization

  • Experience in enterprise and commercial markets (industry-specific marketing experience preferred)

  • English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) are desirable

  • We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including base salary, stock-based compensation, and performance-based pay where applicable. The expected starting salary range for this position is: ¥11,114,000 - ¥13,471,000
