HostedHR provides web-based, employee self-service solutions that cover human resource functions typically ignored by HRIS vendors. We are a small team of 4 who work remotely across the globe. We are mostly bootstrapped, growing, and profitable. Our goal is to make a dent in an industry filled with archaic processes and entrenched competitors.

What we do

Our VerificationManager solution automates the employment and income verification process for large and medium-sized organizations based in the US. What was once a very manual process for Human Resource and Payroll departments, is now fully automated thanks to our service.

About the Role

We are looking for an Account Executive to join the team and help us scale. You will be AE #1 as all sales have been founder-led, until now. You will be stepping into a process that is simple and proven. However, we are not experienced sales professionals. So, your ideas and input will help shape the future of the company.

This job is NOT for sharks that want a high-pressure, “boiler room”, winner-take-all type sales role. You won’t be doing cold outreach or driving leads. Instead, you will be responsible for converting inbound leads into closed deals using a professional, consultative approach.

Your Responsibilities

  • Product Demos: Conduct brief (~15 minute) product overviews using Teams and a PowerPoint deck. Right now we’re averaging 10+ demos a week. 

  • Follow-Up:  After conversations with prospects, send email follow-ups to recap the meeting and respond to any open action items discussed. 

  • More Follow-Ups:  Don’t get ghosted.  Keep following up via email and phone at a respectable, non-pushy cadence until you get a “No” or the lead converts to a client.  This includes existing leads that are sitting in HubSpot just waiting to be converted.

  • CRM Management:  Update client and company records in HubSpot with accurate, up-to-date information.

  • Closing Deals: You’ll be responsible for closing deals and getting contracts in place with customers. 

Who You Are

You:

  • Like being part of a small team while making a big impact.

  • Want to work remotely and work well in an autonomous environment. 

  • Enjoy startups and small teams - don’t need a lot of hand-holding or a corporate environment. We’re pretty casual and enjoy working together!

  • Are confident in your ability to sell without being overly “salesy”.

  • Are located in the US.

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office tools (specifically Outlook and Teams).

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Have experience using HubSpot CRM.

  • Have 1+ years B2B sales experience.

  • Have some Human Resources and/or Payroll industry experience.
