Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Specialist (B2B SaaS)

Hello. I’m Claire Marshall, the CMO at IPinfo, a fast-growing “data as a service” provider delivering accurate and proprietary data to thousands of developers and enterprises around the world. Our data is used to enrich applications, personalise online experiences, and manage security risks. We’re at an exciting stage of growth and I’m hiring an experienced B2B SaaS Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Specialist to optimise and improve the entire customer journey, from online revenue conversion to post-purchase retention and customer lifecycle management.

This is a high execution role, where you have a wide scope of accountability, owning the function and collaborating across teams to implement your strategies. You will be obsessed with driving improvements and best practices. You are innovative and passionate about CRO and excited by the prospect of playing a critical role in our ongoing, sustainable revenue growth.

The meaningful work you will

  • Audit the entire user journey for our free, paid, and enterprise subscriptions, creating conversion funnels, and identifying drop-off points and opportunities to optimise user experience and drive higher revenue conversion rates

  • Plan web content hierarchies and groupings that support distinct journeys. Create web  requirements, launch experiments, test, monitor, iterate to continually improve revenue performance

  • Oversee SEO performance - analyse traffic sources, landing pages, user behaviour and prioritise key areas for improvement and SEO opportunities

  • Identify and improve friction points at the account creation and payment stage. Ensure best practices are implemented and monitored to optimise revenue capture and retention

  • Deliver and streamline effective user onboarding to encourage product usage

  • Implement lifecycle marketing and feedback loops, continuously gathering data, acting on it, and taking steps to reduce churn

  • Be the primary internal stakeholder for performance metrics and tracking analytics to show the health of acquisition and retention metrics. Set benchmarks and stretch goals

  • Work with Demand Generation to develop content and programmes that acquire, educate, and nurture leads, guiding them toward a purchase decision.

  • Design and launch experiments across a variety of channels - continually test and iterate

  • Draw from your past expertise and playbook while continuously generating new insights, staying on top of industry best practices & internal learnings

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement your strategies including demand generation, design, and WebDev.

About you - the skills, knowledge, and experience you will need

We love working with people who are smart, humble, and motivated to make a difference. You’ll thrive in a scaling organisation where ambiguity and complexity are the norm. You make things happen!

  • Significant relevant experience in conversion rate optimization working in B2B SaaS on the client or agency side

  • Proven track record of success in optimising conversion rates and improving website (and revenue) performance

  • An entrepreneurial mindset—you get a kick out of unblocking yourself and others, fixing what’s broken, learning new tools, and taking ownership where needed to move the needle

  • Expert user of web analytics tooling that informs areas of optimisation (eg. GA4, Hotjar, SEMRush, AhRefs)

  • Proficiency in A/B testing and optimisation techniques

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data analysis and decision-making. You use data to drive incremental improvements

  • Comfortable working with and optimising back-end tooling that supports the customer lifecycle (eg. BQ, Stripe, Hubspot)

  • Good understanding of UX and web design and able to work collaboratively with WebDev and Design teams

  • Experience managing external agencies and contractors

  • Comfortable in a scale-up environment working in a fully remote and globally distributed team
