Senior Vice President, Medicare Partnerships
Jellyvision is hiring a Senior Vice President, Medicare Partnerships
Who we are
We at Jellyvision are the proud parents of ALEX, a platform that saves employees and their employers money by making tricky decisions—like choosing and using employee benefits—less confusing and more enjoyable. We’ve got big plans and are ready for an entrepreneurial leader to help us expand our offering, and business in general, into the Medicare beneficiary space.
You see, we are the undisputed market leader in open enrollment benefits decision support, thanks to 1400+ wonderful employer customers and our partnerships with brokers, consultants, and carriers. However, we’re not resting on those laurels. We’re actively pushing from helping employees choose benefits, to also helping them use benefits any time during their moments of need, and we’re also bringing our proven model to people who retire from employer benefits and need to get insurance through Medicare. And that’s where you come in. We are creating a Medicare focused division inclusive of strategy, sales, customer support, and product to help us take on this very large market that we believe is ripe for digital disruption. You will play a vital role in Jellyvision’s expansion into the retiree market and be supported by kind, hardworking and driven folks, a healthy balance sheet, and stable company along the way. We are beyond excited to meet you.
So What’s The Gig?
The Senior Vice President, Medicare will report to the Chief Revenue Officer, serve on the Revenue leadership team, and will be responsible for driving Medicare growth. In short, you’ll be responsible for Jellyvision’s Medicare go to market plan, staff, and playbook for maximizing revenue and long-term value creation. In longer, you’ll leverage your Medicare / Healthcare / HR tech/ Product expertise to help us define and build the next strategic business for Jellyvision. You will be relentlessly “external” in your focus - customer, partner, and market oriented, with a knack for thinking expansively about how to solve hard problems and how Jellyvision can leverage our strengths to beat competition and find win-win angles for Jellyvision to share in the value we create for our customers. You also have established experience in launching new products and industry relationships on speed dial to regularly check in on their goals, concerns, hopes and dreams.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
A problem solver who can quickly become a visible market-facing leader. You’ll identify, contact, and contract enterprise level accounts in the following areas: Medicare Insurance Carrier, Brokerage, Provider, Pharmacy, and Financial partners as well as manage existing, long-term partner relationships, including conducting in-depth business reviews and identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and grow the business. When things go a little haywire, you’ll serve as a point of contact for daily operational issues and escalations for partners and assure timely resolution of internal and customer inquiries.
Bold, data-driven,and ROI-based decision making. Look, we’re profitable, have been cashflow positive for 13 years straight and have a very healthy balance sheet. We also have great leaders and coaches of people. But we’re reaching a scale where math matters all the more, and we’re looking for a leader who thinks rigorously about the revenue-generating engine, now and what’s needed next, more so than the new two deals or hires. Additionally, you’ll partner closely across our Revenue, Product, and Marketing teams to identify best practices, product development opportunities, evaluate content management problem areas, provide awareness of upcoming improvements, and yield improvement opportunities.
A relationship builder who is good with ambiguity. Half the gig is about helping us sell and scale what we have more effectively, but the second half is about working closely with Product to help figure out what we need to build and how we need to be selling two years down the line. What doors do we need to be gently tapping on and what friends deserve a cupcake on their birthday? Vision, creativity, guts, and grit will be key for someone to succeed in this role.
How you’ll help
Knowledge. Deep expertise and experience with Medicare products, distribution channels, partnerships, and surrounding ecosystem as well as fundamental mechanics of the business - pricing, monetization models, deal flow, rules and regulations, etc.
Growth. You’ll define strategies for growth, open new paths to revenue, and will work with our product team to make sure we’re bringing valuable solutions for real customer pain.
Organizational Development. You’ll evolve our Medicare organization to make sure we’re serving the needs of strategic partners as efficiently and effectively as possible. You’ll guide Medicare in designing and implementing annual targets and talent strategies so that everyone on the team feels smarter, more effective, and well rewarded for their contributions here.
People. You’ll help us find, retain, coach, and grow a team of strategic, kind, and helpful Medicare leaders who believe that business is a team sport and our customers are best served by listening, truth telling, collaboration, and solving real problems humbly and with no BS. You’ll set a standard for what “great performance” looks like for your team and hold them accountable.
Alignment. You’ll be a trusted thought partner to the CRO, CEO, and senior leadership team. You’ll tell us what the market wants and needs and know when there’s a difference, and you’ll help us all row in the right direction. You’ll optimize our GTM strategy and work in close partnership with our Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Plan for the Future. You’ll use both data and your gut to make the unknown as predictable as possible. You’ll anticipate and remove blockers from both the grand vision and your team’s annual goals. You’ll help make our customers and partners glad for a world with Jellyvision in it.
Build in All Ways. If we build it, will they come? You’ll help us assess when to buy vs when to build.
Partnership. We’re looking for someone who wants to be a real partner to peers and a valued senior leader who is interested and willing to contribute to the business, even if it’s “outside your lane.”
Experience & skills you’ll need

10-15 years of leadership, including significant sales/go to market leadership.
