Business Development Representative

Job Overview

As a Business Development Representative at Mudflap, you will help small business owners save money on fuel by introducing them to our market-leading mobile based product that is used daily by tens of thousands of SMB trucking companies. Mudflap provides fuel discounts to owner-operators and small fleets at hundreds of independent fuel stops and chains.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the top of funnel lead generation (outreach, product demonstrations, and onboarding) for new Mudflap clients across the United States

  • Generate leads using creative outbound strategies for connecting with potential partners

  • Consult, educate, strategize, and successfully sell Mudflap’s services through a high volume of sales calls

  • Achieve and exceed monthly pipeline goals

You have:   

  • 1-3 years of inside sales or other relevant experience preferred 

  • An ability to identify key stakeholders, build rapport, and maintain strong working relationships 

  • An eagerness to collaborate effectively across the organization, building partnerships and advancing shared objectives across sales, marketing, and product teams

  • Resilience and an ability to overcome objections and obstacles with an openness to feedback

  • Energy, tireless work ethic, and a self-starter mentality

  • An ability to multitask while maintaining a drive to execute flawlessly and a keen eye for detail 

  • Passion for revenue and growth with a high sense of urgency

  • An ability to work cross-functionally to execute quickly with business partners

  • A genuine curiosity to learn new technologies and adapt to new ways of working

The base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 with an on-target commission of $20,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives.
