About the role
The Growth AE will be a function of our Majors organization within Starburst Sales. GAE’s will work regionally alongside 3-5 high potential customers in the Starburst customer portfolio. Their role will be to drive Starburst growth through outbound activity across different business units that can adopt the technology and drive increased ARR over the long-term lifecycle of the customer. Reps will also provide the ability to drive knowledge of Starburst through technical workshops and/or remote sessions alongside customer sponsors as a means to evangelize the Starburst technology.
As a Growth Account Executive at Starburst you will:
Work with the Majors Account Executive to develop and lead inbound and outbound campaigns from idea-generation through meetings to qualified pipeline
Develop strong sales and product knowledge through calls, emails, and social networking
Interact with IT and business decision makers via telephone and email
Become trusted advisor to help improve overall product engagement and meet your customer's business objectives and growth plans
Nurture early phase opportunities for future pipeline potential
Work with Marketing to conduct seminars, assist with trade shows, and other marketing related eventsInvest in your self-development, focusing on the skills and attributes that will make you successful in your core role and get you set for future success
Some of the things we look for:
1+ years of experience in Sales or customer-facing role; analytics or software preferred
Proven history of consistent goal achievement in a competitive environment
An ideal candidate will be someone who is looking after a Fortune 100 company
Energetic, upbeat, entrepreneurial, tenacious teammateExcellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience using Salesforce.com
College degree or equivalent work experience
Familiarity open source technology a plus
$55,000 - $60,000 a year
The base salary range for this US full-time position is $55,000 - $60,000 (+ commission), subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. All candidates receive equity (ISO) and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for candidates across all US locations. Work location, skills, experience, and any relevant education or training determine the compensation awarded to the candidate.
