Client Growth & Partnerships Manager
Summary
Bell & Bly Travel is in an exciting phase of growth and innovation, and this role will evolve as we do. We’re looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, polished, and deeply passionate about travel and client service. You’ll be the key driver of client growth and partnerships, bringing in new clients, strengthening existing relationships, developing creative business channels, and helping us deliver trips of a lifetime.
The right person is an A-Player: honest, proactive, quick to learn, and energized by creating meaningful experiences. You’re client-savvy, calm under pressure, and thrive on building relationships at the highest level. You prioritize well, communicate clearly, and stay curious and creative. Most importantly, you’re motivated to make the business better, the client experience better, and yourself better.
A-Players at Bell & Bly roll up their sleeves, embrace new challenges, and jump in where needed. They know when to ask for help, when to lead, and how to keep things fun, healthy, and exciting as part of a fast-growing team.
About Us
Bell & Bly Travel is a boutique luxury travel firm built for entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and discerning families. We create ultra-personalized travel experiences that go far beyond logistics—offering our clients exclusive access, immersive adventures, and service that feels effortless.
We’re a proud member of Virtuoso and partner with the world’s top travel brands. Our recognitions include Virtuoso’s Most Innovative Advisor, Celebrated’s Legend of the Year, and spots on both the Condé Nast Top Travel Specialist and Travel + Leisure A-List.
We believe in fewer, better clients—and even better experiences. Our mission is to elevate what luxury travel planning can be, and we’re growing fast. Now, we’re looking for our first dedicated Client Growth & Partnerships Manager to help take us to the next level.
Who We Are
Bell & Bly is led by Founder & CEO Sarah Groen, an experienced entrepreneur with a diverse career background before building one of the fastest-growing luxury travel firms in the U.S. (LinkedIn). Our General Manager, Rachael Armstrong, brings over a decade of expertise in high-end travel and oversees the day-to-day operations of our growing team (LinkedIn).
We’re a small but mighty group who thrive on collaboration. Sarah and Rachael generally work Central Time business hours, and while we’re flexible for the right fit, we prefer teammates who can align with similar time zones in the Western Hemisphere. Some overlap with our core hours will be essential.
This role will sit at the heart of our team, working across client growth and travel design. You don’t need to love the back-end logistics of travel planning — our Designers and Coordinators have that covered — but you do need to understand what exceptional travel looks like and enjoy partnering with a creative, supportive team to deliver it.
About the Role
This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on growth, relationships, and long-term client success. You’ll lead our Discover Call process, nurture relationships with existing clients, and proactively bring in new business through creative outreach and partnerships.
You’ll work directly with our Founder and General Manager, and collaborate across teams to make sure every client feels seen, supported, and excited to book their next unforgettable trip.
We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, polished, and people-obsessed. Someone who can spot opportunities, build trust, champion our clients, say yes when it counts, turn good trips into great ones, and represent Bell & Bly Travel at the highest level.
This is also a performance-driven role with significant bonus and commission potential. We want someone who brings an executive mindset, who treats the business like their own, embraces ownership, and is ready to do what it takes to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
Client Growth
Lead all initial Discover calls with new clients.
Conduct follow-up calls with existing clients to kick off new trips.
Build and manage “Client Experience Portfolios” for top clients, anticipating future travel and proactively offering curated ideas.
Guide clients through key decision points with care, confidence, and clarity.
Step in during trip design when a higher-level conversation is needed to help close.
Partnerships & Business Development
Identify and pursue new client channels (private wealth managers, family offices, private clubs, executive forums, luxury brand partnerships, etc.).
Represent Bell & Bly at industry events, conferences, and client-facing presentations.
Work with the Founder on selling Vitae by Bell & Bly Travel (our positive psychology product) to retainer clients, hotels, and DMCs.
Collaborate with the marketing team on creative ways to grow our high-end client base.
Client Advocacy
Act as an escalation point if issues arise during trip planning or execution.
Maintain high-touch service and ensure client concerns are handled with empathy and efficiency.
Support the team in delivering exceptional outcomes, especially for top-tier travelers.
Team Collaboration
Stay aligned with our Travel Designers and Coordinators to ensure smooth client hand-offs.
Jump in to support travel design if needed (this is not your primary role, but you should understand the product).
Working Style
This is a remote position, working directly with the CEO, General Manager, and Sales Coordinator.
You should enjoy calls and zoom meetings and will be expected to attend team meetings, trainings, and one on one meetings as well as client calls.
Because you will work directly with clients you should be well spoken, have a professional looking office space for client zoom calls, dress professionally during these calls, and represent Bell & Bly Travel at a high level.
Everyone on the team is expected to work ~ 40 hours per week. We’re flexible on exactly which hours those are, as long as client needs are met at a high standard.
Training
We’ve systemized much of our training, so your first week will focus on watching team-made training videos, reading through our manuals, and connecting with the team.
You’ll work closely with Sarah and Rachael to gain a deep understanding of the sales role, learn our Discover process, and receive personalized 1:1 sales training.
After the initial week of training, training will be as we go as we believe learning our style and then implementing it is better for retention.
Growth Opportunities
This truly depends on the candidate, their skill level, and their interests, as well as Bell & Bly’s success in growing market share.
Areas for growth could include title and salary or commission increases.
Who You Are
For this senior role you should have 5+ years of experience in the luxury travel industry in a client-facing role OR in another high-touch, relationship-driven field such as private aviation, wealth management, luxury real estate, or hospitality sales — paired with deep personal travel knowledge and passion.
You should have a strong understanding of the major travel destinations around the world and be an experienced traveler yourself.
You should be comfortable, classy, confident, and polished enough to interact seamlessly with ultra-high-net-worth clients. You know how to build relationships with C-suite executives, investors, and entrepreneurs, and you can represent Bell & Bly Travel with poise at every level of the client experience.
You should love interacting with clients and have empathy for their unique situations. Being caring and wanting the best for our clients makes us the best.
You should love being on the phone and building relationships — this role is as much about people as it is about travel.
You should have great people skills and empathy for clients, partners, and teammates alike.
You should be excited to work with our Travel Designers and Coordinators, collaborating to deliver exceptional outcomes.
You should be able to adapt to the Bell & Bly style. Early on we’ll give feedback on details like preferred language, photos, and tone. Even these “subjective” pieces matter for a great product.
You should be operations-minded, always thinking about streamlining processes and making the client experience better.
You should have excellent English communication skills — especially written, but also verbal. Strong grammar, writing, and ability to create clean, attractive client documents are essential.
You should be highly task-oriented with a strong work ethic, an A-Player who gets things right and completed on time.
You should have integrity and honesty, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
You should be obsessed with customer service. We advise clients on how to spend their most valuable asset: their time. We strive to get it right and make every trip truly memorable.
You should be able to get along well with our team and have fun. Life is too short to work with people you don’t enjoy.
You should not be afraid to suggest new, faster, or better ways of doing things. Leadership is busy, so we welcome innovation and ideas.
You should be clear and concise in team communication, and appreciate the same in return (we’re straightforward, no politics).
You should bring an executive mindset: committed to ownership, focused on outcomes, and willing to do what it takes. While we care about work–life balance, you should be comfortable flexing outside of “set hours” when client or business needs call for it. This is not a clock-in/clock-out role.
You should be motivated by performance-based compensation. The more you grow the business, the more you grow with it. This role includes significant bonus and commission potential.
In your application under “anything else we should know”, please tell us what’s #1 on your travel bucket list and why.
