SEO Specialist

Employment type: Full-time, salaried, exempt-level employee

Level: Mid-Level

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 base salary. Overall compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, potential for contribution, and scope of role.

Location: Remote, but candidates must be Texas-based. Must be willing to travel to our College Station office once a month. Relocation to Bryan/College Station offered to Texas residents.

You’re always on the hunt for new tactics and strategies, and ready to share your knowledge with the rest of the team. Our industry changes fast, and you are ready to change right with it. THE ROLE

As an SEO Specialist at Frogslayer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our online presence. You'll be tasked with developing and implementing effective SEO strategies that increase our site's visibility, drive organic traffic, and contribute to our overall growth objectives.

More specifically, you will:

  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities and trends to use throughout our website, content, and marketing campaigns.

  • Implement on-page SEO best practices to enhance website structure, meta tags, and content for improved search engine performance.

  • Audit and address technical issues that may impact website ranking, such as site speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and crawlability.

  • Build and optimize targeted landing pages to enhance user engagement, drive conversions, and boost SEO rankings.

  • Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and drive high-quality backlinks.

  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor website performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports on SEO progress and insights.

  • Collaborate with others within the marketing department and web development team to manage SEO strategy and provide SEO insights and recommendations.

  • Stay on top of industry trends and search engine algorithm updates.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, a related field, or equivalent work experience  

  • 2+ years of experience in SEO

  • Experience in B2B marketing 

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong writing and analytical skills

  • Must have strong knowledge of WordPress, SEO tools, and Google tools (SEMRush, Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of general marketing tools (HubSpot, HotJar, etc.)
