VP of Business Development

Must be willing to travel to meet with referral partners, prospects, and clients within a 30 -60 mile radius

We are currently looking for an experienced Vice President of Business Development to grow our Outsource Accounting and Fractional CFO Business Advisory Services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of proven success in business development within the financial advisory and/or professional services industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial management, a strong network, the ability to communicate to business owners, and the ability to drive revenue growth by identifying and converting new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Conversion:

  • Generate leads through your existing Centers of Influence (COIs), networking events, and industry associations.

  • Qualify leads; conduct initial Qualifying calls, collaborate with Operations during the Discovery phase and prepare tailored proposals and presentations - follow an existing defined sales playbook

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new COIs relationships, potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Contribute and execute a targeted business development strategy to penetrate and expand the client base.

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to refine and align the service offerings to address evolving client needs and market demands.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Understand client pain points, challenges, and goals, and position our services as solutions that add tangible value.

  • Collaborate with Operation teams to ensure the seamless onboarding of services and exceptional client satisfaction.

  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, CFOs, and business owners within target industries - Non-Profit, Construction & Professional Services.

Revenue Growth and Business Expansion:

  • Meet and exceed defined sales targets and revenue goals on a quarterly and annual basis.

  • Identify opportunities to make COI introductions to our clients.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress in the HubSpot (CRM)

  • Collaborate weekly with Business Development peers on market trends, partner interactions, and feedback from potential clients

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of Sales / Business Development Experience

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business (or equivalent)

  •  Accounting, Finance and/or Professional Service background

  •  Proficiency in using HubSpot, G-Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales enablement tools required

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.

  • Strong existing network of COIs within the target industries (Non-Profit, Construction & Professional Services) and the ability to leverage these relationships for business development.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to a non-technical audience.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market trends, client needs, and competitive differentiators.

  • Intellectual Curiosity, Coachability, Collaborative Mindset, Continuous Learner and Leadership Potential, are must have qualities for this role. 

  • Must have excellent Problem Solving, Time and Project Management, Analytical, and Innovative Thinking skills. 

  • Must be able to have excellent Client Relationship Management skills. Be able to build and maintain positive client relationships by active listening, empathy, and the ability to understand and address client needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role is $120,000 annually. In order to provide a competitive compensation package, Signature Analytics takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to: market compensation data, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications. A sign-on bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to benefits (employer contribution towards medical, dental, and vision premiums; 401(k) match; professional development reimbursements; cell phone and home office stipend, etc.) depending on the position offered.
