The Role
StarRez is seeking a Project Manager to manage the installation, implementation, and training process for new customers. In this role, you will ensure each project is delivered on time and to the highest standard. You’ll also manage projects with existing customers who are implementing additional software or professional services, helping them expand their use of StarRez.
Beyond project delivery, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure customers achieve success with our platform. This role combines project management, training, and customer engagement, requiring both technical understanding and exceptional communication skills.
Role Specifics
Work Location: Remote (UK)
Travel: 40% (The percentage of travel is an estimation and could vary based on business needs.)
Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Services.
What You Will Own
Lead end-to-end implementation projects across EMEA, managing timelines, communications, and delivery to ensure successful outcomes
Design and deliver engaging customer training (onsite and remote), preparing clear materials and documentation to support user adoption
Collaborate with internal teams (Support, Development, Sales) to align on customer goals, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous product improvement
Support existing customers and identify growth opportunities, including up-selling additional modules, services, or integrations
Conduct tailored solution demonstrations for new implementations and expansion projects, showcasing value and product capabilities
Contribute to customer resources and best practices, such as help guides, FAQs, release testing feedback, and participation in user groups or trade shows
Work flexibly and independently, coordinating travel, managing competing priorities, and collaborating across global time zones
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience managing customer implementations or projects in a SaaS or higher education context (e.g. Student Information Systems like Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Banner, etc.)
Proven ability to build trusted partner relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior audiences
Excellent problem-solving, issue management, and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-through skills
Technologically curious, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or Business-related discipline
Knowledge of StarRez software
Willingness to adopt and advocate for AI tooling to support daily tasks
